Kate has been in clinical practice for over 25 years and has a special interest in treating anxiety and stress disorders using acupuncture to help restore balance of mind and body. David brings his expertise through his in-depth study and practice of Meditation while living for 27 years as a teaching monk in an international retreat site and school of yoga in South India. There, he learned the eastern and yogic philosophies which are the origin of mindfulness and developed his knowledge of health and well-being through study of Ayurvedic Medicine.
Together, they have built practical and effective techniques combining traditional acupuncture, a healthcare system based on ancient principles which go back nearly two thousand years, and mindfulness methods that can be effective tools and skills that empower and resource an individual.
Together, Kate and David can show you how these are methods that can be used in everyday life, how they work and how they can improve general wellbeing, mental health recovery, relapse prevention, pain, anxiety and stress management. Following the workshop, you will be given information on what you have learnt, so you can keep up the daily practices to reap the long term benefits.
